People vaccinated against COVID-19 may be sick…See more ‍͏

COVID-19 vaccines in 2026 remain highly effective at reducing severe illness, hospitalization, and death, especially with updated Omicron-adapted boosters. While vaccinated individuals can still experience breakthrough infections, the overall risk of serious outcomes is significantly lower compared to the unvaccinated.

    How COVID-19 Vaccines Work

    • Immune response: Vaccines train the immune system to recognize SARS-CoV-2 and mount a rapid defense.
    • Platforms: mRNA (Pfizer, Moderna), protein-based (Novavax), and adenovirus-vectored vaccines remain widely used.
    • Boosters: Updated formulations target newer variants like JN.1, improving protection against circulating strains.

    Effectiveness in 2025–2026

    • Hospitalization Protection: Updated vaccines reduced hospitalizations by ~55% among adults with COVID-like illness.
    • Emergency Care Visits: Effectiveness against ED/urgent care visits was ~50%, showing strong real-world impact.
    • Variant Adaptation: Omicron-adapted boosters provide superior protection compared to older monovalent doses.

    Safety Profile

    • Adverse Events: Serious side effects remain rare, with most reactions mild (fever, fatigue, injection-site pain).
    • Long-term Data: Evidence shows sustained safety, though more research is needed for children, cancer patients, and immunocompromised groups.

    WHO Guidance (2026)

    • Routine Vaccination: Recommended for high-risk groups (elderly, immunocompromised, healthcare workers).
    • Coadministration: COVID-19 vaccines can be safely given alongside influenza and other routine immunizations.
    • Future Research: Focus on durability of protection, variant-specific boosters, and equity in global distribution.

    Risks and Trade-offs

    • Breakthrough Infections: Vaccinated individuals may still contract COVID-19, especially with immune-evading variants.
    • Waning Immunity: Protection decreases over time, making boosters essential.
    • Global Inequity: Access to updated vaccines remains uneven, leaving vulnerable populations at risk.

    Conclusion

COVID-19 vaccination continues to be one of the most effective public health tools. While not perfect, vaccines drastically reduce severe outcomes and remain safe across populations. The future lies in variant-adapted boosters, global equity, and ongoing research to refine strategies.

Computer Dad and Kid Tablet Puzzles: Spot 1 Difference.

Take a look at the two pictures we’ve set before you.

At first glance, and maybe even a second, they might look exactly the same.

You see a dad with glasses, leaning against a sofa and intently working on his laptop.

Down below, his two children are sitting on the floor, deeply absorbed in their own small handheld devices, maybe playing a game or watching a video.

It’s a quiet, modern family scene that many of us can relate to.

    It seems peaceful and routine.

But this isn’t just an illustration of a typical evening.

It’s a carefully crafted visual challenge.

Your job is to act like a detective and find several differences that are hiding in plain sight.

The creator of this puzzle is trying to trick your eyes, making small changes that are difficult to pick up on.

These aren’t obvious mistakes like a giant green monster appearing out of nowhere.

    They are small, intentional inconsistencies.

Maybe the position of something has shifted slightly.

Perhaps a pattern or color isn’t quite right.

Could a small, important object be missing in one picture but present in the other?

The differences are there, we promise.

They are just waiting for the most focused eyes to uncover them.

This challenge is less about speed and more about careful, methodical observation.

Take your time and scrutinize every single detail.

    Don’t rush the process.

Focus first on the dad on the sofa. Look at his glasses, his face, his clothes, and every corner of his laptop.

Then, shift your attention to the children on the floor. Pay close attention to their hair, their expressions, and the devices they are holding.

Don’t forget the background. Even the smallest part of the sofa or floor could hold a crucial clue.

Imagine you are trying to find flaws in a perfect copy.

    What seems a little… off?

Try zooming in on specific sections and then comparing them directly to the other picture.

It’s easy to miss something small when your eyes are taking in the whole scene at once.

This is a perfect activity for a quiet afternoon or to challenge your friends and family.

See who can find all of the differences first.

It’s amazing how competitive things can get over small, hidden changes!

These kinds of puzzles are excellent for improving visual-spatial skills and enhancing your brain’s processing speed.

It trains your mind to look for abnormalities and to pay attention to details that are often overlooked in daily life.

And it’s a great exercise in patience and persistence.

So, don’t get frustrated if you can’t find them all immediately.

Just take a breath and look again with a fresh set of eyes.

Your brain will thank you for the challenge.

Good luck, detectives, and may the sharpest eyes win!

Hollywood has lost a familiar face from television’s golden age.

But Leslie Parrish’s story went far beyond the screen.

More and more stars from Hollywood’s Golden Age are leaving us, and with every passing, another piece of film and television history is lost.

Now, sadly, we have to add another name to that list: actress Leslie Parrish.

Parrish, whose career included memorable appearances in The Manchurian Candidate, Batman, Perry Mason and Star Trek, died in Washington state in 2025 at the age of 90, according to reports.

    Tucked away in the mountains

Born Marjorie Hellen on March 18, 1935, in Melrose, Massachusetts, Leslie Parrish spent her early childhood there until her parents divorced when she was seven.

After the divorce, Parrish moved with her mother to Upper Black Eddy, a tiny Pennsylvania valley town of only about 600 people, tucked away in the mountains of Bucks County.

It was an isolated childhood — so isolated that Parrish later recalled having almost no access to modern entertainment.

“There was no television, and no radio could reach us over those high mountains. Can you imagine it, with Philadelphia only about 60 miles away,” Parrish said in a 1960 interview.

As a young girl, Parrish dreamed of becoming a concert pianist. Determined to pay for her musical education, she took a job as a waitress and eventually earned a place at the Philadelphia Conservatory.

But her money eventually ran out, forcing her to put her formal piano studies on hold. Her talent never disappeared, though. During her younger years, she continued playing and even gave piano lessons to aspiring young musicians.

She eventually returned to waitressing, but her friends and customers began encouraging her to try something completely different: modeling.

Taking their advice, Parrish traveled to New York City to give it a shot.

And almost immediately, she found work.

That decision would set her on a path she could never have imagined — from a tiny Pennsylvania mountain town to the bright lights of Hollywood.

A familiar face on both the big and small screens

Her life changed when a Twentieth Century Fox scout discovered her and offered her a studio contract. Fox gave her the stage name Leslie Parrish and sent her to Hollywood.

The golden-blonde, hazel-eyed young actress wasted little time making an impression. In 1955 alone, she appeared in at least five films, including A Man Called Peter and the Fred Astaire and Leslie Caron musical Daddy Long Legs.

Over the next two decades, Parrish became a familiar face on both the big and small screens. Her television credits included beloved series such as Perry Mason, Bat Masterson, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Star Trek and Batman.

Her connection to Batman was particularly memorable. She appeared in three episodes of the classic Adam West series, portraying different characters. In Season 2, she played Glacia Glaze, a henchwoman working for the villainous Mr. Freeze.

she appeared in the Season 2 episode “The Apple,” playing Lieutenant Carolyn Palamas aboard the USS Enterprise.

But Parrish’s most celebrated film role came in 1962, when she played Jocelyn Jordan, the fiancée of Laurence Harvey’s character in John Frankenheimer’s political thriller The Manchurian Candidate.

She also appeared in movies including Li’l Abner, Jerry Lewis’ Three on a Couch, Sex and the Single Girl and The Giant Spider Invasion.

    Protesting the Vietnam War

Yet as her Hollywood career progressed, Parrish found herself increasingly drawn toward something bigger than acting.

She became deeply involved in political and environmental causes, protesting the and campaigning for Tom Bradley, who would go on to become Los Angeles’ first Black mayor. After his 1973 victory, Parrish was appointed to his Blue Ribbon Commission.

She also founded the anti-war organization Speakers and Talent Organized for Peace.

Her final acting credit came in the 1978 television movie No Margin for Error. After that, she largely left behind and devoted herself to conservation.

Together with her second husband, author Richard Bach, Parrish co-founded the Spring Hill Wildlife Sanctuary on Washington’s Orcas Island. Through a series of conservation agreements, 168 acres of forest and wildlife habitat were ultimately protected.

For Parrish, that work became one of the most meaningful accomplishments of her life. She once described her conservation efforts as “what I’m most proud of.”

From Hollywood star to passionate activist and environmentalist, Leslie Parrish lived a life that stretched far beyond the roles audiences saw on screen.

    She was 90.

He could be bashful, mischievous, excited, and downright adorable, sometimes all in the same conversation. What I remember most was the way he could make you forget there was someone behind the scenes bringing him to life. To a kid watching television, that little mouse was real. And when it was time to say goodnight, you knew what was coming. He wanted his kiss. Love, Faith, and Resilience: The Story of Francília Costa and Luiza Silvério

    🌱 Beginnings in Conflict

When Francília Costa and Luiza Silvério first crossed paths in a convent in 2019, sparks flew—but not the romantic kind. Each woman thought the other was arrogant, too rigid, too self-assured. Their early interactions were marked by tension, a clash of personalities in a setting where humility and harmony were supposed to reign.

Yet, as often happens in human relationships, dislike softened into tolerance, and tolerance blossomed into friendship. Shared routines, prayers, and conversations gradually revealed vulnerabilities beneath the surface.

    🕊 Leaving Religious Life

Both women eventually left religious life, not out of rebellion but necessity. Mental health struggles made it impossible to continue in the convent. Their decision was painful, as faith had been central to their identities. But stepping away was an act of courage—choosing well-being over expectation.

To save money, they became roommates. Living together deepened their bond. What began as companionship evolved into something more intimate.

    🎬 A Romantic Comedy Spark

The turning point came when Francília watched a romantic comedy where two characters start out hating each other but end up falling in love. The storyline mirrored her own journey with Luiza. Inspired, she found the courage to open up about her feelings.

Luiza, surprised but receptive, realized her own affection had been quietly growing. What once was irritation had transformed into admiration, and then love.

    💍 A Wedding in October 2025

In October 2025, they married in an outdoor ceremony surrounded by friends and family. The setting was simple yet profound—nature as witness, love as sacrament. Their vows reflected not only devotion to each other but also resilience in the face of adversity.

    ✝️ Faith and Identity

Despite leaving convent life, Francília and Luiza remain practicing Catholics. Their marriage did not sever their connection to the Church; instead, it reshaped it. They became active in a network for LGBTQIA+ Catholics, offering support to two groups often caught in tension:

    • Religious people questioning sexuality
    • LGBTQIA+ people reconnecting with faith

Through conversations, they hear stories of fear, rejection, hope, and reconciliation. Their own journey makes them uniquely empathetic guides.

    🌍 A Broader Impact

Their story resonates beyond personal love—it challenges stereotypes. They embody the possibility of being both devoutly Catholic and openly queer. For many, this seems contradictory. Yet Francília and Luiza prove that faith and identity can coexist, even flourish together.

    They remind others that:

    • Mental health struggles deserve compassion, not stigma.
    • Love stories often begin in unexpected places.
    • Catholic LGBTQIA+ networks provide vital spaces for dialogue and healing.

    🌟 Conclusion

Francília Costa and Luiza Silvério’s journey—from dislike in a convent to love under the open sky—illustrates the transformative power of vulnerability, resilience, and faith. Their marriage is not just a union of two women but a testament to the possibility of harmony between spirituality and authenticity.

Their lives continue to inspire those navigating the delicate balance between belief and identity, showing that love, in its truest form, is both human and divine.

Kate Middleton’s first reaction has everyone saying the same thing 😮… See more

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rumored UK return won’t come problem-free. Their relationship with the Royal Family, especially Prince William and Kate Middleton, is at a low point. Now, Kate Middleton’s first reaction to the Sussexes’ move to the UK has been revealed.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s possible return to the UK has been met with mixed emotions.

While King Charles is said to be delighted that his son is returning, not least because he gets to spend more time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, others within the Royal Family aren’t as happy, specifically Prince William.

Harry and William ended it on a very bad note, with Harry’s revelations in Spare about royal life making William rage. Their relationship went from bad to worse, and they have reportedly not been speaking for several years.

As reports of Harry and Meghan’s return became known, William was said to be furious. Moreover, sources said the Royal Family was “blindsided” by the news. Moreover, one royal expert stated that it will be a tricky situation for Prince William and Kate Middleton to handle.

“All I can think of is: here we go again,” royal expert and author Christoper Andersen told US Magazine. “For starters, I can only imagine that William and Kate are tearing their hair out. They have so much on their plate as it is trying to shore up the monarchy and propel it into the future; they don’t really need to cope with having Harry and Megan on their proverbial doorstep.”

Kate Middleton’s reaction to Harry and Meghan’s UK return

“By returning to the UK, the Sussexes will inevitably suck up all the oxygen in the room,” the expert added. “They will generate countless tabloid stories and take the focus away from other members of the Royal family, which is a major no-no. King Charles and Queen Camilla, in particular, don’t like to be upstaged, and the same goes for William.”

Kate Middleton has been caught in the middle of the “battle of the brothers.” Moreover, her relationship with Meghan Markle has been rocky, and the Duchess’s return might not sit well with the future queen either.

While Meghan decided to call Kate and express her support when the Princess of Wales received her cancer diagnosis, the two were not the best of friends while Meghan was still a part of the Royal Family.

So what does she think of a possible return of Harry and Meghan to the UK? Well, according to a palace source, speaking with journalist Rob Shuter, she surprisingly doesn’t seem to care too much.

In fact, Kate reportedly sees it as a way for Harry and William to reunite.

“Kate is the voice of reason,” the source told  “She knows William and Harry may never be brothers in the way they once were. But they can be civil, they can cooperate, and they can stop feeding the story that the royal family is permanently divided. This isn’t about forgiveness. It’s about strategy. Kate is thinking about the institution and the future, when William is King and she is Queen.”

They added, “Kate is a chess player. She doesn’t need Harry to love William. She needs him to stop fighting him.”

“William and Kate play the long game”

The insider continued, saying that William is ‘confident’ that Harry and Meghan are able to “to create their own problems” and therefore won’t interfere.

“Every time there’s chaos around them, William and Kate look calmer, stronger and more dependable;” they said. “William and Kate play the long game. They’re not going to fight them, brief against them or get dragged into another Sussex circus. Their attitude is simple: sit back, wait and see what actually happens.”

Two children now carry the weight of a lifetime on their shoulders. Behind the headlines and record-breaking shock is a 12-year-old girl who still wants to go back to school, sit in a classroom, and dream of a future beyond nappies and night feeds. Her baby arrived healthy; that alone feels like a small miracle in a situation built on fragility. Around her, adults scramble to offer support, but also explanations, as if any could make this feel less unsettling.

Her 13-year-old boyfriend calls it true love. Their families stand behind them, insisting they’re committed, determined, even hopeful. Yet beneath the talk of marriage and responsibility lies a harder truth: this is what happens when childhood and adulthood collide without warning or preparation. What they need now is not judgment, but protection, guidance, and the chance to grow up safely while raising a child who never asked to begin life in the middle of a storm.
